He has given him far fewer opportunities than other players (who have not been at the club all their live like Riqui). Then, at the most critical moment of the season, Riqui Puig raises his hand and offers to take the fifth penalty, and fate wants him to have the opportunity to score and qualify Barcelona (after the failure of a world champion player like Antoine Griezzman by the way).
